Turbosonic ® – Sonic Whole Body Vibration is an advanced patented technology that is used by major medical, rehabilitation, therapeutic centers, senior centers, spas and gyms across the country and around the world.
The therapy consists of standing upright on a TurboSonic ® platform that produces sonic vertical vibrations from 3Hz to 50Hz with variations of amplitude from 1 – 100.
These muscle contractions stimulate a dramatic increase in critical blood flow to joints and their connective tissues throughout the body. The result is reduced muscle/tendon/joint-related pain with an increase in bone/muscle mass, strength and flexibility.
Whole-body-vibration offers a host of benefits:
- Provides benefits of both anaerobic and aerobic exercise
- Increases physical strength, dexterity, and endurance
- Increases balance and coordination
- Increases flexibility, range of motion and mobility
- Reduces arthritic pain, joint and ligament stress
- Enhances critical blood flow throughout the body (oxygenation and lymph drainage)
- Increases secretion of hormones that are important in regeneration and repair processes such as HGH (Human Growth Hormone), IGF-1, and testosterone.
- Increases bone density
- Improved pelvic floor function
- Relieves menopausal symptoms
- Increases the “happiness” hormones serotonin and neurotrophine, substances that support our thinking process.
- Decreases the stress hormone cortisol
- Rehabilitates injuries and ailments
- Enhances explosive strength and fast twitch muscles
- Enhances conventional training results
- Speeds recovery training
- Accelerates weight loss
- Enhances pain reduction
- Improves collagen production
- Reduces appearance of cellulite
- Tightens facial muscles
- Eliminates the effects of stress
- Relieves tension and chronic pain in ankles, knees, lower back and neck
“As a physical therapist, I have utilized whole body vibration treatments for over a decade, primarily to build bone density in the treatment of osteoporosis. I was not aware of the other benefits of WBV and I admit I was skeptical. After using TurboSonic® for 4 weeks, I am impressed. I believe it aids in the elimination of lactic acid, strengthens the intrinsic muscles of the pelvis, face and neck. I use it to strengthen the knees and quads for snowboarding.”

How does Intersegmental Traction work?
The patient lies face up on a bench table which has roller-type cams beneath its surface. These rollers can slowly travel the length of the spine, stretching spinal joints.
What does Intersegmental Traction feel like?
Most patients find this form of treatment to be relaxing and very helpful. The gentle rolling action is restful, exercising the spine without effort.
Why is Intersegmental Traction used?
Since discs have a poor blood supply, they get nutrients from the circulation of fluids surrounding spinal joints. Fixations prevent this natural circulation and can cause disc thinning and degeneration. Intersegmental traction helps increase and restore necessary elasticity and motion to the spine.
Patient Benefits
- Comfortable and relaxing
- Increased mobility
- Improves circulation of spinal fluids
- Most patients enjoy the relaxing motion and the increased mobility gained from Intersegmental Traction.

Ultrasound therapy is used to minimize muscle pain and movement dysfunction. Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to deliver deep heat to the treated tissues. The treatments may help reduce stiffness, swelling, and pain, increase circulation, and promote pain-free movement. Ultrasound therapy is a painless procedure, and many people find it relaxing.
Ultrasound therapy may be used alone or in conjunction with stretching, therapeutic massage, heat, or gentle chiropractic manipulation.
